Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Do you want to be part of a supportive team dedicated to providing safe and nurturing environments for children and parents? Do you want to learn new skills and grow with us? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
About Us
We are a well-established child protection Supervised Contact Agency in Australia, committed to working with families and children in need. Our mission is to create safe spaces to ensure positive interactions between children and their parents or family members.
Role Overview
This role is vital in supporting relationships between children and their parents, particularly during high-conflict and stressful situations. You will facilitate safe and meaningful interactions between children and the parent they do not live with, following court orders or parenting agreements. You will compile a report using a provided template based on your observations during the visit. These interactions typically occur in safe, child-friendly community settings such as parks, playgrounds, libraries or play centres, and sometimes parents' homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend contact visits and supervise interactions between children and their parents or family members.
- Prepare a detailed report of interactions for each visit.
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with parents and children.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a reliable and professional Supervised Contact Worker or Social Worker to join our compassionate team. Requirements include:

2. Ability to defuse escalating situations and manage difficult behaviours.
3. Current Working with Children Check, Police Check and First Aid certificate.
4. Experience working with children and families, with understanding of child development, mandatory reporting, child protection and family domestic violence laws.
5. Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, education/child care, community services or youth work (minimum Cert?III). Welcoming returning-to-work parents or mature-age candidates with relevant experience.
6. Proven ability to establish rapport and effectively engage with children, young people and their parents or caregivers.
7. Reliable car with a current driver's licence and good driving record (RMS statement required).
8. Minimum of 24 hours per week, including at least 12 hours on weekends.
What We Offer
- Development of effective communication skills to build rapport with children and parents.
- Opportunities to enhance conflict resolution skills.
