The Position

We are seeking highly qualified, driven Specialty Sales Executives to join our growing commercial team. This is your chance to make a significant impact within the launch phase of our cardiometabolic portfolio, including Plozasiran (siRNA targeting APOC3), which aims to treat rare, high-need cardiovascular conditions such as Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) and Severe Hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG).

As a Specialty Sales Executive, your role is essential in achieving launch success by activating prescribers, facilitating therapy adoption, and ensuring continuous use in complex healthcare settings. You'll leverage your strategic thinking and clinical knowledge to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory & Strategic Business Planning:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive, data-driven territory business plans that align with our brand and launch strategy.
    • Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and focus on high-value targets.
    • Manage the territory budget responsibly, overseeing promotional initiatives.
    • Consistently achieve or surpass sales objectives and performance metrics.
  • Prescriber Activation & Clinical Engagement:
    • Deliver engaging, compliant, and clinically accurate product information that aligns with approved guidelines.
    • Effectively communicate complex clinical data tailored to cardiologists, lipid specialists, endocrinologists, and select PCPs.
    • Position Arrowhead therapies distinctively within a changing cardiometabolic market.
    • Execute educational events, speaker programs, and peer interactions to foster awareness and adoption.
    • Assist in identifying suitable patients and initiating appropriate therapy through strategic provider engagement.
  • Stakeholder & Account Management:
    • Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals and institutional stakeholders.
    • Navigate complex healthcare systems and collaborate with Key Account Managers.
    • Identify access issues and work with Market Access and patient services for effective support.
    • Provide consistent, high-quality engagement across accounts to drive enduring therapy utilization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Health IT, and Patient Services to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.
    • Share valuable insights regarding market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
  • Compliance & Operational Excellence:
    • Adhere strictly to company policies, industry standards, and promotional regulations.
    • Document field activities accurately and manage CRM updates diligently.
    • Exhibit disciplined execution and ethical behavior in all engagements.
  • Travel & Engagement:
    • Represent Arrowhead at regional and national meetings, training programs, and conferences (approximately 30% travel required).
    • Overnight travel may be needed based on territory logistics.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical sales is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in specialty, rare disease, or cardiovascular areas is highly preferred.
  • Proven success in launching or expanding complex therapies necessitating access navigation and clinical depth is essential.
  • Experience in integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or complex healthcare systems is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary: $130,000-$170,000, with an additional incentive compensation of 20-30% target bonus.
  • Equity (RSUs) and car allowance program included.

California pay range:

  • $130,000-$170,000
