Description
  • Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using evaluation techniques that combine tests with observational insights.
  • Design tailored treatment plans to target both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure integrated care delivery.
  • Provide education for patients and families, enabling support and progress beyond the therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally handle inpatient evaluations and interventions, fostering continuity throughout the care continuum.
  • Keep precise and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with fellow clinicians to stay abreast of field advancements.
Education
  • Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training to be completed within 30 days of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based practices for individuals across the lifespan, including a thorough understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate cultural and linguistic diversity.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
