- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive patient care strategies.
- Provide education and resources to patients and families to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in rare inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
- Keep meticulous and prompt documentation in accordance with clinical regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
- Engage in continuing education and collaborative peer opportunities to stay up-to-date with advancements in speech therapy.
Education - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications - State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting the position.
