Substitute Program Assistant (Direct Support Professional )

We are currently recruiting for Substitute Program Assistants to work with adults with developmental disabilities in a day program setting.

Job Responsibilities of a Substitute Program Assistant:

  • Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
  • Support recreational and social activities
  • Provide appropriate personal care as needed
  • Assist with transportation
  • Data entry using Therap (EHR)
  • Teach appropriate skills to enhance client independence

Job Requirements:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license in good standing and must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
  • Strong communication skills

NO certification required

Hours Per Work Week: On An As Needed Basis        Weekly Work Schedule: On An As Needed Basis

NJID has full time, part time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.

This is a non-benefited position.
