The Role

As a Supplier Relationship Manager, you will be pivotal in fostering strategic partnerships and facilitating the implementation of solutions between our organization and suppliers. Your role will enhance communication and optimize internal processes through innovative strategies and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle for construction and material suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders, offering consultative support and business guidance as necessary.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues or disputes with a collaborative approach.
  • Negotiate effectively within the organization and with suppliers to achieve beneficial outcomes for the company.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance and potential disruptions.
  • Establish escalation procedures during onboarding, ensuring appropriate executive involvement from both parties.
  • Define and communicate agreed-upon service levels with suppliers.
  • Ensure clarity of performance assessment criteria and enforce consequences for underperformance.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead the implementation of these improvements.
  • Monitor, report, and communicate supplier performance metrics to executive audiences.
  • Conduct performance and business reviews regularly with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training for suppliers on our business systems and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply Chain Management, or a similar area.
  • Proficient presentation skills, especially for engaging senior management.
  • Exceptional negotiation abilities combined with experience in supplier management and contract interpretation.
  • Outstanding communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Office) Suite and project management; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with construction services suppliers is preferred.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Willing to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Compensation:

This role offers a competitive base salary ranging dependent on location:

  • $82,969 - $110,625 in various states including AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY.
  • $87,117 - $116,156 in states like CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI.
  • $91,266 - $121,688 in states such as AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA.
