Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment conducive to optimal patient care.
• Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures while following aseptic techniques.
• Set up operating rooms for diverse cases, moving equipment, and ensuring all instruments are available and sterile.
• Assist during surgeries as a Second Assistant when necessary.
• Handle patient transport and assist with patient positioning, ensuring safe lifting techniques.
• Maintain specialty carts and confirm the working condition of all instruments.
• Adapt care based on the age-specific needs of patients.

Qualifications:

• Accredited Surgical Technology program completion required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within six months.
• No prior experience required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Lifting capability: up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, up to 20 lbs. overhead, and carrying reasonable distances.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and perform various physical movements throughout the shift.
• Exposure to potential hazards including mechanical and chemical risks; proper protective equipment is required.
