Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
Shift: Full-time evening shifts available with call requirements
Compensation: $26.10 - $39.15/hour, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus with distance-based relocation options, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for PM shifts.
About the Role: As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. You will utilize aseptic surgical techniques in the preparation of materials, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Your skills in anticipating the surgeons' needs and maintaining a sterile field will make a significant difference in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.
- Assist with the setup of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor the environment for safety and efficiency.
- Transport patients and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Perform essential duties while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Function as a Second Assistant when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months.
- No prior experience is necessary, we welcome new graduates!
Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform tasks in a fast-paced environment, and utilize proper techniques for patient transportation and positioning. You will be exposed to various hazards and must be equipped to manage them while wearing safety equipment.
