Join ISS, one of the UK's foremost Facilities Management providers, as we expand our Sustainability team aligned with a major Government contract.

Our client is a significant UK Government organization dedicated to managing modern, effective, and sustainable working environments. In this role, you will focus on Sustainability, particularly Energy and Net Zero initiatives across their northern estate.

With approximately 40 sites in the region, you'll have the freedom to organize your own schedule, conducting site energy audits and offering practical suggestions for energy best practices. Additionally, you'll provide expert Sustainability insight for Capital Projects, such as the installation of energy-efficient building systems.

By collaborating with various stakeholders and acting as a sustainability expert, you will foster best practices and identify opportunities for enhanced efficiencies in day-to-day operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the implementation of the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Action Plan, supporting operational managers to enhance the delivery of sustainability initiatives.
  • Assisting the client in performance benchmarking of their estate related to waste and energy, utilizing available data with the guidance of the Data Analyst.
  • Supporting the customer with their GGC quarterly reporting program by acting as a program lead and collaborating with the Data Analyst.
  • Overseeing quarterly reporting related to energy and waste performance.
  • Monitoring compliance with the Sustainability requirements specified in the contracts, ensuring that procedures for additional works are defined and established.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sustainability, particularly in carbon management, energy efficiency, and net zero strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to pass security vetting typical of government contracts.
