The Opportunity

As a Tax Director specializing in Banking & Capital Markets, you will provide invaluable advice and guidance on tax planning, compliance, and strategy to our clients. Your expertise will assist businesses in navigating complex tax regulations while optimizing their tax positions. In this leadership role, you will drive strategic direction and enhance business development efforts. Your decisions will have a significant impact as you oversee various projects and maintain strong relationships with executive-level clients. Within our Tax practice, you will review and analyze financial data, prepare accurate tax returns, and help clients fulfill their tax obligations while minimizing any risks of non-compliance. Responsibilities

  • Leading tax compliance efforts for banking and capital markets clients, ensuring adherence to complex regulations.
  • Developing strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize client tax positions and minimize risks of non-compliance.
  • Overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns, confirming accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for enhancing tax strategy.
  • Collaborating with executive-level clients to shape engagements and drive business growth.
  • Mentoring and guiding teams in executing tax compliance and planning projects.
  • Promoting innovation and creative problem-solving in developing new tax solutions and structures.
  • Cultivating relationships across the PwC Network to leverage collective strengths, maximizing client satisfaction.
  • Identifying market gaps and converting opportunities into successful outcomes for the firm.
  • Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC's code of conduct and independence requirements.

What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • At least one of the following credentials: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar, or other relevant tax, technology, or finance-specific qualifications.

The salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $438,000. Actual compensation will depend on individual skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
