Therapist - Occupational Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized occupational therapy services to patients in an inpatient acute care setting, under the guidance of the Manager of Inpatient Therapy Services. Focus on improving patients' independence and quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve motor skills, cognition, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and activity modifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Be registered and licensed to practice in Michigan.
• Possess at least 2 years of inpatient acute care OT experience.
• Have ICU experience (preferred).
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA).
