Position: Trailer Maintenance Technician

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Evaluate the status of mechanical equipment and trailers.
  • Maintain equipment according to DOT regulations.
  • Perform minor trailer repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Manage tire mounting, dismounting, and repairs.
  • Conduct minor cosmetic repairs on trailers.
  • Analyze and inspect vehicles, trailers, and mechanical systems for cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure regular and dependable attendance in the workplace.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Use various diagnostic instruments along with hand, electric, and air-driven tools.
  • Assist with minor building and facility maintenance as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs through data entry into Maintenance Software.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good working order of shop and company tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Prior experience in truck, trailer, and vehicle repair is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire for a long-term career.
  • Ability to uphold a positive corporate image in a dynamic work environment.
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across departments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including extended hours when required.
  • Basic set of tools is necessary for this position.
