Summary About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Ft. Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood. Responsibilities Perform administrative and transportation clerical support to the Branch. Compile and maintain information for reports to monitor/manage travel and personal property performance trends. Serve as an Installation Passport Agent, reviewing applications and completing passport applications for the Department of Defense. Utilize maps, rate tables, schedules and other travel publications to compute rates, distance and time for airline, train, bus and other modes of travel. Monitor passenger reservations with the contract travel office to assure they are the least costly fare booked in accordance with the government contract. Use a variety of computer software to develop input for reports, and to prepare correspondence, forms, charts, etc. Conduct briefings for service members on matters concerning travel authorizations and personal properties within the continental United States (CONUS) and overseas.
