Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN with an active OH or Compact license for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule, working 3 twelve-hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Patient care involves both medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
- Qualivis - Lotus is used for submitting hours worked
- No on-call requirements mentioned
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be successfully completed during orientation, with two attempts allowed
- Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements
- Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to the facility for one year after their previous end date
- Badge pickup and onsite fingerprinting required prior to start date
- Pre-employment modules must be completed before starting and are billable up to four hours
- PAPRs will only be allowed for caregivers with facial hair if an agency medical or religious exemption is approved
Requirements
- Active OH or Compact RN license in hand
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be current
- Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required prior to travel
- One reference from a supervisor, manager, ANM, or director in the specialty required
- Negative 10-panel and nicotine (cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
- Copy of driver's license and social security number required for consideration
