About The Position
Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Profession: Speech Language Pathology Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8, 10-hour days Hours per Shift: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Monday to Friday) or 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Monday to Thursday) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: CCC-SLP preferred but not required Description: The position involves providing home health services. The Speech Language Pathologist will treat 4 to 5 patients per day. Common diagnoses include CVA, ALS, MS, and various levels of dementia. A background in rehabilitation within skilled nursing facilities is helpful. The service area includes specific regions for patient coverage. Necessary skills include dysphagia/swallow assessment and cognitive and aphasia care. The role may involve supervising rehab aides and speech-language assistants. No weekend or holiday work is required. Dress code allows for scrubs or business casual attire. Two weeks of department-specific orientation will be provided. The cancellation policy allows for certain shifts to be canceled within the assignment duration. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is preferred.
