User Researcher

Location: Remote (ad-hoc on-site)

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + 10% bonus

Key Responsibilities


  • Research Planning: Identify project needs and select the most effective research methods to deliver valuable insights.
  • Execution: Conduct user research through interviews, workshops, and ethnographic methods to gather comprehensive user data.
  • Synthesis: Translate findings into actionable insights, including journey maps, storyboards, and diagrams, that inform service improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confidently present insights to stakeholders, making data-driven recommendations that drive impactful change.


What We're Looking For:


  • Experience: Proven background as a User Researcher, ideally within government, public services, or consulting roles that leverage data to enhance user experiences.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong ability to present insights and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from various backgrounds.


Desired Skills:


  • GDS Exposure: Familiarity with Government Digital Services standards.
  • Clearance: Active SC clearance or eligibility for it.
