About the Role
The Company is looking for an exceptional Executive Director or Vice President to lead Commercial CMC Operations. In this crucial role, you will oversee the strategic and operational dimensions of CMC, championing the commercial development, validation, and launch of large molecules while ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. You will spearhead and nurture CMC teams, shape business strategies, and cultivate enduring client relationships.
Your expertise in contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and experience in the late-stage and commercial development of biologics are vital for success. This position demands collaborative cross-functional engagement, a commitment to continuous improvement, and an acute awareness of industry trends to drive informed decision-making.
Ideal candidates will possess a degree in a relevant scientific discipline, with a PhD strongly preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in large pharmaceutical companies and CMOs. You should have a robust technical background in CMC development and manufacturing, comprehensive regulatory knowledge, and a demonstrable success record in managing large molecules, supply chain dynamics, and contractor relations. A strategic mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a successful history in a fast-paced environment are essential. Strong leadership skills, the capability to inspire a culture of collaboration and high performance, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also key to this role.
