Candidate Note: This position is fully remote for candidates based in the US

We are looking for an experienced executive to lead our global Product Marketing, Go-to-Market (GTM), and Sales Enablement teams. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will take ownership of our market positioning, revenue scaling strategies across customer segments, and equipping our sales and partner ecosystem for success.

This high-profile role is designed for a senior leader with significant experience in building and scaling Product Marketing and GTM organizations, specifically within the database, data infrastructure, or broader enterprise software sectors. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to convert intricate technical capabilities into clear customer benefits and measurable market success.

Your Impact Will Be:

  • Product Marketing & Positioning

  • Refine and enhance the company's positioning, messaging, and narrative across different product lines, target audiences (such as developers, DBAs, data architects, CIOs, CDOs), and competitive landscapes.

  • Drive market segmentation, ideal customer profile (ICP) creation, persona development, and competitive analysis within the database market (including relational, distributed, cloud-native, AI/vector, analytics, and more).

  • Develop an analyst relations strategy; act as a recognized spokesperson with influencers and analysts such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and the technical press.

  • Go-To-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Establish and drive the end-to-end GTM approach across both sales-led and partner-led channels, with product-led growth experience being a valuable addition as we pivot in that direction for upcoming offerings.

  • Lead product launches and create impactful campaigns from concept through execution and measurement.

  • Collaborate with Demand Generation to convert positioning strategies into a clear pipeline; take ownership of GTM contributions toward revenue targets.

  • Design and enhance GTM playbooks for new markets, segments (ranging from mid-market to Global 2000), and emerging products.

  • Sales & Partner Enablement

  • Create an exceptional enablement function that encompasses onboarding, continuous skill development, certification programs, and essential tools for direct sellers, SEs, partners, and customer-engaging teams.

  • Utilize AI to enhance scalability. Develop targeted curricula and content (including pitch decks, demos, competitive battlecards, ROI tools, technical whitepapers, and customer success stories) that demonstrably improve win rates, reduce ramp time, and increase deal velocity.

  • Define enablement KPIs and establish a feedback loop involving Sales, Product Marketing, and Product Development.

  • Leadership

  • Recruit, nurture, and retain a high-performing global team comprising product marketers, GTM leads, and enablement professionals.

  • Create operational rhythms and metrics for the department; provide regular updates to the executive team and board members.

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product marketing, GTM, and/or enablement leadership in enterprise software, including 5+ years at the VP level leading multidisciplinary teams.

  • Extensive, demonstrable experience in the database, data platform, or data infrastructure domain – examples include relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), distributed/NoSQL, cloud data warehouses, streaming, vector/AI databases, or related tools.

  • Proven ability to drive significant revenue and category results – not merely executing launches and creating content, but effectively increasing pipeline, win rates, ARR, and market presence.

  • Strong fluency in engaging technical buyers (developers, DBAs, platform engineers, data infrastructure leads) as well as economic purchasers within enterprises.

  • Experience with diverse GTM strategies: product-led/self-serve, inside sales, enterprise field sales, and partner/channel ecosystems (including hyperscalers, SIs, and ISVs).

  • Solid track record in analyst relations with organizations like Gartner, Forrester, and relevant industry players.

  • Exceptional executive communication abilities; comfortable presenting to boards, customers, analysts, and large internal groups.

  • Proven experience managing globally distributed teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

  • Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Experience in guiding a company through a critical growth phase (e.g., from $50M to over $250M ARR, IPO processes, or major category shifts).

  • A background that merges both open-source and commercial software GTM strategies.

  • Prior hands-on technical experience (in roles such as engineering, DBA, or solutions architecture) that enhances your marketing perspective.
