Job Summary and Qualifications
A CT Technologist performs CT scans, ensuring top-quality image results and patient experience. Key responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining necessary histories, and facilitating communication with healthcare professionals. The role also includes maintaining equipment, managing patient flow, and adhering to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT exams efficiently while ensuring high standards of care.
- Document patient history and retrieve orders as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff about procedures.
- Start IVs for contrast administration and operate the power injector.
- Support ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
- Prepare necessary supplies for procedures and complete all relevant documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of patient care across various age groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Registered in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) and Radiography (ARRT-R).
- Associate Degree required; one year of experience preferred.
